Richard C. Gennario

SENIOR EXECUTIVE ADVISORY

Mr. Gennario is a veteran commercial banker having served the industry for over thirty years.  Prior to joining the consultancy practice of Harney Management Partners, he was the Executive Vice President for the Eastern Region of Bank of America's Commercial Finance Unit. 

Mr. Gennario's responsibilities included establishing and directing all aspects of B of A's commercial finance activities including underwriting, portfolio management, credit, marketing, operations, legal and audit.  He, along with a staff in excess of 150 associates, underwrote and syndicated credits that ranged in size from $25 million to over $2 billion.  Under Mr. Gennario's leadership, the Eastern Region maintained a reputation of excellence and was highly respected by both customers and competitors.

Throughout the years, Mr. Gennario has gained extensive knowledge in an array of industries which rely on varied commercial finance products.  He has extensive experience in loan syndications, loan negotiations, restructuring, work outs, crisis management, debtor and creditor arrangements and various forms and stages of bankruptcy and insolvency.  Mr. Gennario's depth and breadth of expertise in commercial lending and his high level involvement in the financial community give him unprecedented access to key decision makers in the banking community.  This access and pragmatic approach to problem resolution provides HP's clients with unmatched resources as they work through tumultuous times of change and challenge.

Mr. Gennario's global banking experience includes the establishment and direction of    B of A's Business Credit activities in the United Kingdom, a regional office that continues to be Europe's premier secured lender.

Mr. Gennario supports numerous charitable organizations, including the United Way of New York, United Way of Long Island, the Hospice Society of Long Island, and the American Cancer Society and is a past and present member of the board of directors of several corporate boards.  Mr. Gennario has also served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
